Amanda Ferguson is a registered psychologist and hypnotherapist. She has been in private practice as a counsellor and psychotherapist for over 14 years and for over 10 years as a clinical hypnotherapist. Amanda treats individuals and couples. Amanda is currently completing a PhD in Organisational Psychology that examines how people now engage in work life and how this relates to their satisfaction and performance at work.
She specialises in problems from clinical depression, anxiety and suicidal tendencies to issues of self esteem belief in the self, career, food and habit disorders, relationship, grief, crisis and unresolved childhood issues. Amanda has a particular interest in helping people to gain the skills and understanding to make sustainable life changes. She is interested in work-life satisfaction and the meaning of life for individuals. Amanda combines techniques of psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, hypnotherapy and inner child therapies.
Psychologists and hypnotherapists follow strict ethical guidelines to protect the public. These are set out and supervised by the NSW Psychologists Registration Board, The Australian Psychologists Society and the Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists, all of which Amanda is a member. Amanda is also an organisational psychologist with 25 years experience in corporate consulting, training and speaking.
