An extremely experienced senior executive, Andrew Moon drives businesses with the discipline and compassion required to be a highly effective organisation in their chosen market. Andrew combines his professionalism with outstanding leadership and communication abilities and delivers at the highest level. He is currently charged with leading Billback Systems LLC, a software development and sales company, and ensuring that it achieves sustained revenue growth and superior profitability, on three continents. Andrew has shown great aptitude in understanding a business' issues and delivering solutions which are, often, beyond expectations.
In his most recent role, Andrew was the CEO of a successful, innovative software solutions company with offices in three countries and employing over 70 people. Having taken on the company when results had diminished by nearly 80% year on year, he rebuilt the company to a very profitable concern which was then acquired by an Australian public company.
Prior to that role, Andrew was Director of his own consulting business and was employed by a number of companies to provide advice regarding business acquisitions, assist with strategic planning, promote employee motivation and act as interim CEO.
During that time, some of his appointments were:
- Chair of the Parkinson’s Tulip Foundation, a not for profit organisation
- Vice-President of Parkinson’s Association of NSW and President of Parkinson’s Australia and facilitate its structural, organisational & fund raising strategy
To act as Interim Chief Executive of a $100 million commercial and retail financial services provider.
- To advise the Securities Institute of Australia (now FINSIA) in a proposed alliance with the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
- To produce corporate videos for the legal and medical professions
- To participate as a panel member at a training seminar for HR professionals
- As the Keynote Speaker at Accountants national meeting
Previously the CEO of Tower Life's Australian operations, Andrew was responsible for a business which employed up to 1,000 staff and dealt with all aspects of life insurance and wealth management. The operation produced a profit of $50 million per year. Whilst there, he reorganised the business, changed its culture and substantially reduced costs. That change programme produced very positive effects on the culture of the company and on its service standards.
At Colonial State Bank, Andrew was General Manager and responsible for a division of 160 people, $6.5 billion in commercial assets and $112 million in profit contribution and was a member of the Bank’s Credit Committee and one of the members of the Executive team reporting to the MD. Andrew re-organised the unit, reduced staff and grew the business by 100% in two years. The change programme had a dramatically positive effect on the culture of the division from a reactive, passive team to a proactive sales oriented team.
