Anna Coren is a news anchor and reporter in Hong Kong for the international media company CNN, having commenced the position in late 2008.
Prior to her move to Hong Kong, she was a reporter for Seven News and presenter of the summer edition of Today Tonight. Anna launched her on-air role with the Seven Network at the start of December 2003, presenting the Late News Updates.
She began hosting the east coast summer edition of Today Tonight in December 2003 and continued to do so during the program's summer season in December 2004.
Graduating with a Communications degree from Charles Sturt University in 1996, Anna Coren cut her teeth in journalism in a Coffs Harbour newsroom, spending a year with Prime Television and a year and a half with NBN.
Anna came to Sydney in 1999 to work for the Nine Network on the demanding overnight shift and worked mid-dawns for 12 months before being promoted to an on-camera reporter for the 6.00pm bulletin at the beginning of 2000.
From there, it was a meteoric rise for Anna. She began presenting news updates and the early morning news from 2002 before crossing over to Seven News.
Anna enjoys spending time with friends and family. She has two younger sisters and a younger brother, enjoys yoga and has travelled widely, her favourite country being Vietnam.
