Speaker Profile

Bob Feldman is an international professional speaker, corporate trainer, executive coach and management consultant for communication and presentation skills. Born and raised in Chicago, he also has lived and worked for lengthy periods on two other continents, primarily in Germany and Singapore, which he now makes as his home. He holds a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Movement, Psychology and Education and a Masters Degree (M.Ed.) in Adult and Continuing Education from the University of Illinois.

He is also a certified massage therapist as well as a certified professional practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method and has worked in conjunction with healthcare and medical professionals and in corporate wellness programs. In the training arena, he has been on the American Management Association (AMA) faculty for communication, management and leadership programs, and is a Personal Efficiency (PEP) Consultant with d'Oz International.

He is also a member of Asia Professional Speakers – Singapore (APSS). In the business arena, he has been Managing Director of a successful arts business for the last 8 years.

Bob’s expertise is in the area of personal effectiveness, interpersonal communication, creative expression, dynamic presentation, body language, stress management, leading with a creative edge, management and supervisory skills, teambuilding, time and energy management, media training, self-image, trust and listening skills.

His talks and workshops are highly participatory and motivating. For 15 years he was an actor, director, teacher and trainer with the United Mime Workers Theatre Company, an internationally acclaimed professional mime theatre group which toured throughout the United States as well as in Europe and Latin America at theatres, universities and public venues. He continued teaching acting skills at colleges and theatre schools in Germany and Singapore, including LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and the National Institute of Education (NIE). He has also led trainings in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.

In the U.S. he received numerous creative programming awards for communication skills workshops for a wide range of groups spanning from business professionals and social service agencies to work on Indian reservations and at a federal prison.

Since coming to Southeast Asia, he has been offering programs extensively with the Singapore Civil Service College’s Institute for Public Administration and Management (IPAM), providing in-house and general training for the Ministry of Health, Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority, National Environment Agency, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Manpower, among others. He has given talks for the Marketing Institute of Singapore (MIS), the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) and the Public Relations Academy (PRACAD), and has provided training for staff at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

Bob’s background in theatre, mime and acting gives him a wealth of experience and a special “spin” in his training and talks on impactful presentation skills, body awareness, body language, creative expression, personal branding and communication skills. He knows and breathes the skills of the actor/performer and his theatre-based training techniques create a unique atmosphere for learning.

His teambuilding activities have been developed through years of experience with the bonding required of a cast and theatre ensemble, activating personal presence, believable communication, credibility and emotional intelligence. His experience with relaxation methods and body education, combined with his 8 years as a Managing Director in the business world, creates the stage for powerful work with stress management, time management and energy management for your corporate wellness programs.
