David Burrell is the founder of LDKS Consulting, a boutique HR consultancy to Boards, CEOs and HR Directors.
David passionately believes that to increase an organisation's success requires an unrelenting drive to improve the decisions that depend on and/or impact people, and this is the focus of his consultancy and work.
'The better the decisions around the selection of talent, identification of high calibre managers, leadership capability development and how people share information, connect and collaborate, for example, then the better the competitive edge an organisation will have... yet so many organisations choose to ignore these issues or pay them lip service' he says.
Prior to establishing LDKS , David was the Global Head of Organisational Development in a Fortune 500 company based in London. This role was accountable for the strategies aimed at improving the capabilities of the company's staff on a worldwide basis. While in this global role, David also developed and implemented the organisation's first Knowledge Management/Development strategy, and integrated it into the overall global Human Resources strategy.
David's international business career also includes senior HR Director and Board roles in Australasia, Latin America and Asia.
He has been the Chairman of a superannuation company and the recipient of an Employer of the Year Award.
Because of his international career and experiences, David brings a unique wealth of 'lessons-learned' perspectives and insights to today's business issues, particularly where they involve people.
David has a degree in Economics and Psychology.
He is an Industry Fellow at the University of Queensland Business School.
He is also an outspoken columnist and contributor to Human Capital magazine.
