Barbara is Australia's most outspoken and committed advocate of children and family rights. A Magistrate on the Bench of the Children's Court for 12 years she was instrumental in setting up the first 'Care Court' in Sydney where only matters involving the neglect of children were heard. Since her resignation she has become a media commentator on all aspects of children's justice.
