Over the past 20 years, Martin has travelled the world for the network, and won many awards for his stories, including the coveted Walkley Award.

Martin spent two weeks in New York reporting on the September 11 terrorist attack. He's exposed slave trade rackets in South Africa and Mozambique. Martin was the only journalist in the world to interview cult leader David Koresh in Waco, Texas. He won the Walkley Award for a series of stories on Koresh and the Branch Davidians, filmed a documentary for the Nine Network, and wrote a world best-selling book on the cult.

Over the years, Australian television viewers have watched Martin King report on an extensive and colorful range of subjects. Locally, he's exposed major scandals like the Soccerpools scam which resulted in former AFL umpire Harry Bietzel going to jail.

Martin was the only reporter ever to live inside an Australian prison - for a week - reporting on life on the inside.

Viewers have seen the lighter side too...mushing with huskies in Alaska, swimming with the world's most famous dolphin, Flipper, in the Gulf of Mexico, being chased by a wild hippo in South Africa, smooching with Elle McPherson on a beach in Western Australia, playing golf with Clint Eastwood in California,  and on the film set with Anthony Hopkins in Hollywood.  He was even stripped to his underwear by Carson at the Melbourne Cup.

Martin has interviewed Doris Day, Mel Gibson, McCauley Culkin, Ted Danson, Witney Houston, Eddie Murphy, the Beach Boys, and Olivia Newton-John and Jerry Lewis. Locally he's filmed stories with Shane Warne, Steve Waugh, Pat Cash, John Newcombe,  Alicia Molik, Dennis Pagan, Sam Newman, Eddie McGuire, Red Symons, Derryn Hinch and John Bertrand.

As one of the longest-serving reporters on the Nine Network, Martin is high profile, and in constant demand for public speaking roles.
