Diana Ser has over a decade’s experience in the television industry, spanning broadcast journalism and entertainment. She’s best known for being presenter and producer of Channel NewsAsia’s award-winning documentary series ‘Get Real’ focusing on the underbelly of Singapore; the series showed Diana to be a tough yet empathetic inter-viewer.
As news presenter, Diana also handled ‘live’ forums such as the Casino Debate and the follow up to Lee Kuan Yew’s dialogue with Singapore’s youths. She anchored the Singapore Tonight bulletin live from the site of the Nicoll Highway collapse in 2004 and reported live on the International Olympic Committee’s vote for the 2012 Games in 2005.
No stranger to political reporting, Diana has covered two General Elections. As one of the most recognizable faces on Channel NewsAsia till 2005, Diana also presented bulletins such as World Today and Asia Tonight.
Throughout her career, Diana has interviewed multiple key newsmakers, including Singapore ministers, London mayor Ken Livingstone and entertainers such as Julia Roberts, Gong Li and Jennifer Lopez.
Before joining Channel NewsAsia, Diana spent three years as a columnist and reporter at the Singapore Press Holdings.
Diana has a Masters of Communication from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
