James (Cas) Castrission is an Aussie Explorer constantly pushing the boundaries of human endurance. Cas also spent five years as a management consultant at Deloitte.

Cas is highly regarded as one of Australia’s premier public speakers. He has written 2 bestselling books: Crossing the Ditch and Extreme South.

Previous experience

Polar Expedition: He recently made history by completing the longest unsupported polar expedition of all time, alongside his best mate, Jonesy. In 100 years of polar exploration no-one had EVER walked from the edge of Antarctica to the South Pole and back without assistance. Many had tried, none had succeeded. After 89 gruelling days they made it back to the coast after having skied 2275km with everything they needed to survive in the harshest environment on Earth.

The Ditch: Four years earlier they Crossed the Ditch - paddling 3318km without assistance across the Tasman Sea for another world first. They braved 10 metre swells, howling winds, endured severe food and sleep deprivation and adverse winds and currents. They became the first kayakers to cross the Tasman Sea as well as becoming the longest transoceanic double kayak expedition. Staggering upon the shores of New Zealand, the adventurers were sunburnt, bearded, underweight, and physically and mentally wasted…but most of all happy to be alive.

Your team is attempting to be the first people to walk unsupported from Mawson Hut to the South Pole.

You need to set up your tent to escape the blizzard…

Challenge: Your team must set up your trusty tent, with polar mitts on, no talking. Your whole team must crawl inside the setup tent to complete the challenge.

This team-building activity has been designed to get teams working together as ONE TEAM and showcase the importance of effective planning in execution.

Team Building - My Adventure Race

The Premier Adventure Challenge Course and Corporate Race

My Adventure Race is a team-based adventure challenge course that will test your physical and mental skills. The race will feature a variety of obstacles, including rock climbing, abseiling, and group puzzles.

Each team’s objective is to be the first to arrive at the My Adventure Race finish line! To do this, they will need to follow a series of location clues that will lead to a variety of challenges. There will also be bonus challenges and time penalties scattered throughout the race. They will only receive your next location clue once you have satisfactorily completed each challenge.
