At age 23 Larissa Brown founded and for six years led the Centre for Sustainability Leadership, a non-profit organisation that rather than trying to get people in power to care is dedicated to getting people who care into positions of influence. Larissa has personally interviewed 200 of the world's greatest sustainability leaders across 20 countries and five continents on what it takes to cause real systemic change towards a sustainable world.
In 2012 Larissa was invited to address the Davos World Economic Forum on issues of climate change the millennial generation. Her awards include Australian Young Environmentalist of the Year, Victorian Young Australian of the Year, and being named as one of Melbourne's ten most influential environmentalists by The Age Magazine.
Larissa has previously severed as a media advisor for the Climate Commission, board member at Environment Victoria and a member of the Ministers Reference Council on Climate Change Adaptation in Victoria.
Larissa holds a bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne, A Masters of Political Communication from The London School of Economics and is completing a Masters in Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge. She is currently the State Director of the Victorian Greens.
