For the majority of her 15 year media career Lyn Talbot has combined working in television, radio and writing for women’s magazines. In addition to being a presenter, she is a journalist, reporter and producer. Her major interest and experience lies in the areas of health & wellbeing, travel & fashion.
Her television roles include 7 years as a health/lifestyle presenter/reporter on Channel Ten's Lifestyle program 'Healthy Wealthy & Wise', 6 years co-hosting Channel Ten's Live broadcast of the Melbourne Cup Carnival & the Autumn Cup Carnival, 3 years as a news update presenter/reporter in the Channel Ten newsroom in Melbourne and many guest appearances on Good Morning Australia with Bert Newton. 'Healthy Wealthy & Wise' was shown in Australia at 7.30pm Monday’s for a 46 week season each year. It still screens here and in other countries on Foxtel.
Early in 2001 Lyn worked on Channel Nine’s 5.30 with Jennifer Keyte show and Lyn has also worked briefly at Seven for Sportsworld.
Lyn was also fashion and colour reporter for the 28 hours of LIVE international Melbourne Cup Carnival coverage on Channel Ten for 6 consecutive years until Seven won the rights in 2002.
Lyn formerly wrote weekly health columns for New Idea (2 years), a monthly article for the Australian Woman's Weekly (2 years), and has also been a health contributor to New Woman. She also wrote a monthly column for News Limited’s health and wellbeing magazine Pure.
Lyn also has vast experience as MC for special events, awards nights and road shows. Between 1992-1996 Lyn’s co-hosted Ansett Australia’s in flight entertainment program and presenting segments informing passengers of specials packages and new services provided by Ansett. In September 1999 Lyn flew to Paris to be the face of Thalgo cosmetics for the launch of the company’s Health Retreats in Australia. Lyn is also Designer Spokesperson for the Australian Made and Australian owned towel manufacturer Canning Vale. Weaving Mills.
