Mark is regarded by many as one of the best stroke-makers the game of cricket has ever seen.

Previous experience

CricketHis test cricketing career commenced in 1991 in 1991 when he replaced his brother Steve in an Adelaide Vs England test. He went proceeded to score a majestic century on debut.

He is well remembered for his role as opening batsman In the 1996 World Cup where he scored 3 match winning centuries.

His role in the Carlton Series in 2000/2001 Vs the West Indies & Zimbabwe is also a cherished cricketing memory. He scored the most runs in convincing style and scored the highest one day innings by an Australian (173).

He has played highest number of consecutive test matches (107) and holds the world record for the most catches by a non wicketkeeper.

Mark spoke well, and clearly had a lot of fans in the audience who made a special effort to come to the breakfast he spoke at. He also willingly signed a cricket bat we donated to charity auction, and posed in photos with brokers. Both these activities helped us raise over $3500 for the Make a Wish foundation.
