Speaker Profile
Marty Wilson is a third generation pharmacist who became an Award Winning Copywriter working on blue chip clients like the NRL, Coca Cola and MTV. He then launched into the ultra-competitive world of stand-up comedy where, in only six months, he graduated from his debut performance to appearing on the Footy Show and winning Green Faces - Australia's only national comedy competition judged by audience vote. Marty was then spotted by a UK comedy agent and moved to the UK for seven years working as a full time stand-up comic - performing at the Edinburgh, Norway and Melbourne Festivals to huge acclaim and doing over 2000 live gigs all over the globe. He has kept audiences of 10 absolutely enthralled and had a mob of 5000 in the palm of his hand at Reading Rock Festival Comedy Tent. This guy knows how to work a crowd.
Just as importantly for your conference, Marty has returned home to become a full time author where he has interviewed over 600 inspirational people for the six (and counting) books in his bestselling What I Wish I Knew book series. He has a weekly Health & Wellbeing column in the Sydney Morning Herald, frequently writes for Reader's Digest and a dozen other magazines, and regularly appears on Australian TV and radio. This means that, as well as being incredibly engaging, he has a huge store of insightful, valuable content about how to succeed in life and business which he tailors to the needs of every client – just like he has for everyone from Carlton United Breweries to the Queensland Dept of Health, from Abbotsleigh Girl's School to Macquarie Bank, from Dymocks Childrens Charities to Sydney University.
There are comedians out there who can make the audience laugh, there are intelligent speakers who have quality content for your guests, and there are a lot of famous authors and writers who can turn a phrase plenty goodly, like. Only Marty Wilson is all those things and more. He is a hilarious stand up who is still registered pharmacist and small businessman, he has his own deeply thoughtful content plus that of over 600 inspirational people he has interviewed for his bestselling book series, and he has a profile from TV, radio and print but he also has the engaging stage craft to deliver in front of a crowd of any size.
Booking Marty Wilson really is a totally unique proposition.

- How can we ever thank you enough? You absolutely made the evening with your comic genius and MC skills. We are still receiving glowing comments from our guests! Not sure whether it was your self-deprecating style, or perhaps the amount of alcohol consumed by our guests, but you were in fact relegated to what one might call 'Superhero without the mask' status... Wendy and I have both been asked many times post the dinner: 'Who was that man? He was absolutely brilliant!'
We are so very grateful for everything you did for us, all the time and energy you devoted both pre and during the event to ensuring the flavour of both your MC duties and your keynote speech surrounding your experiences and insights as an author, fitted perfectly with the nature of the evening and guests. You pulled together every part of the night (and at times a rather rowdy crowd) with humour and style ensuring everything ran perfectly. Event organisers should have you on speed dial!
Partners in Climb - Marty Wilson is the teacher we all wish we had at school. He has that rare ability to deliver belly-laughing stand up with mind expanding concepts. Forget teaspoons, he gives the audience two or three heaped tablespoons of sugar to help the medicine go down. A session with Marty always leaves a crowd inspired to live fearlessly, communicate more openly and take themselves - and life - more lightly. I strongly recommend him to you as an exceptional speaker in the areas of change, leadership, motivation, and removing the stress of uncertainty from the workplace.
Photon Group - Over the last 10 years I have co-ordinated our company conference and engaged many speakers on various topics to entertain and educate our staff. I saw Marty Wilson for the first time in February and can honestly say he is one of the most entertaining speakers I have ever seen. His message was also meaningful and thought provoking.
I would recommend Marty to any organisation as an excellent speaker.
Crombie Lockwood Insurance - In 17 years of business few people have made such an incredible instant impression on me as Marty Wilson. He is a unique talent who keeps the audience laughing out loud while leading them on a path towards a deeper understanding of how to get the absolute best out of themselves and their colleagues at work. I have seen Marty achieve incredible results in just one hour
His Newfeeling Day initiative is the perfect example of someone making enormous creative plans while still having the enthusiasm, commitment and leadership skills to pull it off. These are the abilities he can pass on to your people.
Marty is wonderful... work with him now before he becomes President of the World.
