Melissa Clark-Reynolds was appointed the Chief Executive of PayGlobal Ltd, a high profile Payroll and Human Resources company, based in Christchurch in February 2006.
She is well known in New Zealand business circles for setting up a health and safety and ACC consultancy, which grew over seven years to become part of Fusion, New Zealand’s largest private ACC insurer.
From 2003 to 2005 Melissa was Chief Executive of Hamilton-based INTAZ, a health and safety software company.
Melissa was a gifted child who attended university at the age of 15, completing a BA (Hons) in Anthropology. In her early 20s she went to the United States to attend Rutgers University in New Jersey, where she completed a combined Masters Degree in Health and Environmental Studies. Soon after Melissa returned to New Zealand and became a sought-after consultant in these fields.
Melissa is passionate about entrepreneurship and has represented New Zealand at the APEC Forum on encouraging Women Entrepreneurs. She was a judge for EY Entrepreneur of the Year (2000 & 2004), was featured in Her Business magazine's Hall of Fame and was named as one of the 150 most powerful women in New Zealand Business (Unlimited Magazine, 2002).
Featured in a number of books including Success in New Zealand Business V2 (1997), A New Generation of Business Leaders (2000), Living Life Out Loud (2001) and The Kiwi Effect (2004) Melissa has also been on the cover of both Her Business and Management Magazines.
Melissa has a solid background in international business and a breadth of experience in both the HR and software sectors while also being known as a roving ambassador for the United Way charity.
