Nick Reitmeier has been in fine food retail for the last 23 years and started his career as a sales assistant trainee in a store in Germany. He is now responsible for all import buying (108 stores), all own brand & product development for TOPS & Central and operational for 3 (soon 4) Food Halls in Thailand. This company has been awarded No. 3 Best Food Retailer in the world and Best Food Store in Asia by the “GROCER” Magazine (UK). Additional they won 3 years in a row the most trusted Brand award in Thailand as well as the Golden Q award for outstanding hygiene by the Agriculture Department of Thailand. Nick hosts a cooking show called “Cooking for fun” on TV weekly.
Nick Reitmeier has worked the last four years in Asia and held the position International Fine Food Director for A.S. Watson group (Park n Shop) in Hong Kong. Previously to this, he was General Manager of GREAT “Hong Kong’s Best Food shop”.
Prior to arriving in Asia he worked as Food hall Manager for Selfridges in London for 3 years as well as for Harrods in London in the same position. Harrods has the worlds most famous Food department, which specializes in “Serving only the Best” food available anywhere in the world.
Prior to this, Nick Reitmeier worked for nearly ten years in different Food Halls for a German Department store group called Kaufhof, which is owned by the METRO corporation. In this time he held various titles starting from Trainee to General Manager.
