Peter Thompson is a broadcaster, educator and author.
He currently hosts the program ‘Talking Heads’ on ‘ABC TV’, examining and exploring the lives of well-known and notable Australians. Previously, he presented programs on ‘Radio National’, including ‘Breakfast’ for eight years and the renowned current affairs program ‘AM’ for six years.
Peter is a Fellow and Professor of the Australian and New Zealand School of Government, teaching executive programs in communication and public policy. He is also an adjunct Professor at Macquarie University's Department of International Communication.
He is Director of the ‘Centre for Leadership’ which is a leading provider of communication advice to public and private sector organisations.
Peter is the author of several acclaimed books, including ‘Persuading Aristotle: The Timeless Art of Communication in business, negotiation and the media’ and ‘The Secrets of the Great Communicators’.
He has an extensive academic background, holding a Master of Public Administration from Harvard, an MBA from the prestigious Australian Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University.
