Speaker Profile
Born in Melbourne, Pierce Cody started his career in advertising. In 1986, he founded CODY Outdoor, developing a network of over 600 billboards and outdoor advertising placements across Australia and 50 in Hong Kong. The largest outdoor company in Australia, CODY is now part of APN News & Media, where Pierce holds a Board position. He was also a Non-Executive Director of Adcorp Australia Limited.
In partnership with friend, Brett Blundy (founder of Brazin and Sanity), Pierce bought the iconic organic store Macro at Bondi Junction in 2004. As with his inspiration for CODY, Pierce saw the potential for the business to become national, to make organic food accessible; both in its benefits and the products.
Pierce grew Macro Wholefoods Market to be Australia's biggest independent organic retailer. Macro was sold to Woolworths mid 2009.
Until recently Pierce was a Trustee at the Art Gallery of NSW and is a Governor and Director of The Australia Ireland Fund. He was also a founding director of Tower Estate, which owns vineyards and restaurants in NSW's Hunter Valley region.
He is also a director of The Beauty Health Group, involving a roll up of day and beauty spas and product distribution which will list on the ASX in early 2011.

"Saxtons are always available to clarify any issue I might have had and always friendly and professional in their manner. I have always had professional advice from the bureau and as I always run on a very limited budget Nina and Holly have always tried to get me the best speaker for our needs and budget."
