With over thirty years in the security and investigations industry, Sal Perna is a renowned authority on organisational risk. He is the founder and Managing Director of Calibre International, a management and risk consultancy.

His background includes a 20 year career in public sector law enforcement which included everything from investigating homicides to training detectives. His last 15 years have been in the corporate sector, providing extensive consulting services in the area of corporate risk. He also led national corporate security and investigation teams in two of Australia's major corporations, Australia Post and Telstra. His expertise is highly sought after and he has presented to a variety of conferences in Australia and around the world.

As the Managing Director of Calibre, Sal has created a renowned organisation in the area of leadership training, coaching, mentoring, staff selection advisory and business planning. Building on his expertise, Sal also provides extensive issue and incident analysis in the area of security risk, anti-corruption and assessing standards of investigations.

He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Australian Institute of Management, American Society for Industrial Security, International Who's Who of Professionals, International Association of Chiefs of Police, and a Founding Member of the Australian Institute of Professional Investigators.
