Shane Healy has walked a fascinating path to the top of the competitive radio industry in Australia. Shane has faced many challenges during his career culminating in his rise to the position of General Manager of Melbourne’s number one station.

During his career, Shane has combined his passion for sports broadcasting with a successful seventeen year period as General Manager of 6PR in Perth and then 3AW in Melbourne. 3AW is one of Australia’s most successful radio stations.

He has broadcast many high profile sporting events including Australia’s stunning win over Uruguay in the World Soccer Cup qualifier in Sydney last year and more recently, the Swimming at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

Shane is a powerful orator and is able to relate to audiences at all levels through his honesty and his uniquely interesting story. He brings a dose of humility to his observations about leadership and culture and the way he has connected with high profile performers such as Rex Hunt and Derryn Hinch.

Shane has a Masters Degree in Educational Administration and a Bachelor of Education and is able to combine intellectual rigour with down-to-earth observations which give valuable insights into areas such as organisational change, leadership, the path to excellence and getting the best out of teams and individuals.
