From Tom Cruise to the Dalai Lama, Shelly Horton has interviewed some of the world's most fascinating people. A regular on Channel Seven, she's seen every week battling with David Koch on Sunrise as part of Kochie's Angels, she's Larry and Kylie's go-to-gal for gossip on The Morning Show and is regularly called on for her pop culture knowledge on Weekend Sunrise.
For the past six years she's been Editor-At-Large of the entertainment section 'S' in the Sun Herald attending a liver-shaking 1500 champagne soaked A-list events. If small talk was an Olympic sport she'd score gold for Australia. Now she's the Editor of 'Life&Style' on smh.com.au which covers everything from women's health, fashion, life matters to celebrity shenanigans. Shelly also loves a chat on radio, with regular spots on 2UE and ABC Radio. Before working at Fairfax, Shelly was the South Pacific Correspondent for the most watched entertainment program in the world, Entertainment Tonight America. Before that she worked as a newsreader on Triple J and a reporter on ABC TV and Radio on covering health, arts and even crime. From chasing ambulances to chasing celebrities, it's been an interesting road in her four inch heels.
Super comfortable in front of a crowd, Shelly's been to so many events she knows what it takes to be a good MC.
When it comes to keynote addresses, Shelly's happy to spill the beans and give behind-the-scenes accounts of some of the world's biggest celebrities. She can also give tips on how to work a room like a pro and, just as importantly, extract yourself from dull conversations. She grew up in country Queensland and can share the tenacity that took her from the red soil to the red carpet. She's available for panel discussions on a huge variety of topics, and she's willing to discuss what seems to be the last female taboo: her choice to not have children.

Newspaper Publishers' Association
- Shelly is a wonderful host, speaker and entertainer. We have not only used Shelly as part of our ongoing videos encouraging support for young people against anti-bullying, but also to host our film premiere event which sold out. Shelly came in prepared, kept the crowd laughing and when required, moved us emotionally. A true asset to any event.
The Community Brave Foundation
- Shelly Horton was an inspiring MC for our large scaled ‘Ladies Charity Luncheon' in 2011 for Variety Children's Charity. Shelly was able to motivate and capture the attention (and hearts) of over 200 guests. Shelly not only led our luncheon with candour and banter, but she also was extremely prepared and conducted her own due diligence around our charity's position and endeavours and was able to educate the group and motivate them into contributing to the live auction. Shelly brings with her a wealth of experience and confidence to her speaking opportunities and is extremely down to earth and professional from start to finish. We were very honoured to have her participate in our event.
