Tim Gard is a popular humourist and an expert in the use of humour in reducing stress. Awarded the prestigious Council of Peers Award for Excellence and the Certified Speaking Professional designation from the National Speakers Association, he has delivered his entertaining and informative lectures to all manner of corporate audiences in Australia and around the globe, is a frequent guest on television and radio programs, and the author and co-author of four books.
While an eligibility worker with the Montana Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, Tim began to develop training to help fellow workers deal with stress, burnout and compassion fatigue inherent to their jobs. He decided that sharing what he calls his 'Comic Vision' was the most powerful and productive way to contribute. Enabling the group to develop 'Comic Visions' of their own proved to be a very natural, effective and fun way for people to deal with, and even avoid, the often intense personal and professional stress encountered day in, day out. Tim's audiences quickly discovered that using his methods at work and at home enabled them to use humour as a skill.
After locating to Denver in 1994 to join the United States Department of Agriculture's Food and Nutrition Service, the increased demand from fellow workers and managers for his unique brand of consulting and training inspired Tim to devote himself full-time to his seminars and workshops.
Tim is a highly-sought-after presenter in the human services field and beyond. His down-to-earth style and easy manner establishes a quick rapport with his audiences. Whether he is helping a group develop a Comic Vision or building a strong team through humour and juggling, Tim Gard's sessions are without fail informative, fast-paced, drop-dead funny and incredibly fun!
