Tom
Gleeson

Award-winning Crowd Favourite Comedian

Profile

Tom Gleeson is a gold-plated comedy superstar, helming ratings smashes and filling big theatres across the country.

Tom has been at the face end of a microphone for more than twenty years as one of the country’s best loved stand up comedians. He’s played rowdy RSL’s and filled the Sydney Opera House, slaying audiences and destroying hecklers as you would expect from one of our best.

On ABC-TV’s The Weekly, Tom’s segment Hard Chat took aim at everyone from Karl Stephanovic to Sophie Monk, Barnesy, the Proclaimers and Albo. Hard Chat begat Hard Quiz which not only blitzes the ratings into its eighth season but also earned Tom Australian television’s gong of gongs - the Gold Logie, which rubs against his AACTA, ARIA and Helpmann Awards on his very crowded trophy shelf. Hard Quiz is such a success it translates to all ages and languages.

Tom recorded a special Hard Quiz Kids episode and Dutch company SkyHighTV released their version: Hard Spel in 2020 to delighted viewers. This year Tom is taking Hard Quiz Live on the road, where he will let audience members take a shot at winning the infamous brass mug, if they’re game.

Now Tom has taken his natural disdain for the general public and applied it to his fellow comedians as the host of the new Network Ten series, Taskmaster which is set to premiere in 2023.

Expertise
Feedback
Tom was excellent, very funny, he's a country person so our audience could really relate to his anecdotes from when he was growing up in the bush. He handled the crowd well in a room that acoustically sounded as tho the whole audience was talking! He got their attention and held it for his whole performance. He was hilarious. CRT

On stage the 33-year-old is quick-witted and charismatic. He talks to the audience with the ease of an old friend catching up over a beer.

Daily Telegraph - Sydney

Tall-tale-telling manner that constantly engages. Tom on. Very on.

The Age - Melbourne

Instead of Non-Stop Tom, this show could have been called non-stop laughs, because that is the reaction Tom Gleeson got from the crowd.

The Advertiser - Adelaide

Sharp and very amusing.

The Stage - London
