It is almost hard to imagine Australian comedy without Wil Anderson.
Wil seems to host two tv shows and four podcasts. At least one of those is one of the ABC’s most popular shows of all time, the multi award winning Gruen, where he dissects the art of the pitch and the hucksters who want our dollars or our votes.
Wil also created and produces Question Everything a weekly panel show bringing the funniest minds in the country, including co-host Jan Fran, to attempt to separate fact from fiction in our truth optional world.
Wil is one of Australia’s most successful stand-up comedians. He has won the People’s Choice Award at the Melbourne Comedy Festival a record breaking six times and has sold more tickets than any other comedian in the festival’s history. Wil is a relentless innovator, with each show better than the last and after twenty-five years he still managed to win the Director’s Choice award in 2022.
Wil’s finely crafted shows twist stories on top of each other, creating a surprising whole out of what felt like a stream of consciousness. His joke count is relentless, but audiences come back for the insights and inconsistencies that Wil still finds in the world, the little lies and petty hypocrisies that vividly, and hilariously, make some sense of our day to day.

Due to weather conditions at Hamilton Island, we were unable to get Wil to the intended event. It was fantastic that he was flexible in terms of going to the Melb dinner that we'd quickly cobbled together for those that could not land on the island. This was a difficult situation for us, and Wil's surprise performance went a huge way to making the best of a difficult situation. All feedback was exceptional.
Anderson is a loose cannon, fast, funny and full of razor-sharp observations.
