Jonathan
Reeve

Retail Strategist, e-Commerce Leader and Author.

Profile

For the past sixteen years, Jonathan has not only been a witness to the massive changes transforming retail. He's also been a game changer. As a retail strategist, e-commerce fulfilment consultant and operations leader, he once led a project to define the operating model for Tesco.com, helping it become one of the world's largest and most profitable online retail grocers.

Jonathan has worked with clients across three continents. It seems having an adventurous life and multi-dimensional perspective was always on the cards. He was born in Uganda (his dad was working there selling Raleigh bikes) and has lived in exotic spots around the globe including Paris, San Francisco and London.

Today, Jonathan is happily based in Melbourne. He has carved out a reputation for helping retail, logistics and consumer goods businesses master the art of e-commerce fulfilment. While e-commerce fulfilment is complex and costly, it's a potential-packed field for those in the know. What happens after a sale is made online is crucial to generating repeat business and growing a retailer's operation. So why is it often given a lower priority than making the sale itself? If you're wondering what you could possibly need to know about the evolution of product flow, the answer is... a helluva lot.

At a time when most are either peddling frantically to remain relevant or are frozen with inertia, his presentations on fulfilment in the era of digital disruption (namely Amazon) are timely, thought-provoking and topical.

Arguably the country's leading keynote speaker on e-commerce fulfilment, he's passionate about tackling it head on. With an impressive grasp of his subject, Jonathan is exceptional at distilling intricate issues into digestible chunks. His tailored talks are known for bringing e-commerce fulfilment to life using anecdotes and stories from real-world scenarios.

Drawing inspiration from the ultra-marathons and ironman triathlons he loves to compete in, Jonathan is able to show his audiences how success often comes from relentlessly making small steps of progress rather than giant leaps. He shares his years of insider experience generously and authentically. The end game is to give leaders the practical skills they need to take action before it's too late. As a speaker, Jonathan is a consummate professional whose warmth and capacity for vivid storytelling captivate audiences wherever he goes.

Ready Or Not, Here Comes Amazon: Are You Ready?

Amazon has now launched physical retail operations in Australia. It's likely the biggest event the retail sector has seen in twenty years.

Get ready for a gripping presentation as Jonathan poses the million-dollar question to his audiences: how ready are you to respond to this threat? Understanding Amazon's strategies is the all-important first step. This brilliant keynote also highlights the big opportunities businesses need to seize to ready themselves for Amazon's entry into the market.

Mastering Disruption & Why It Matters To Your Business

Disruption is a widely used but often misunderstood term. It's a buzzword bandied about by the media and industries when referring to any 'Big Change'. But what does it really mean? And how can understanding the predictable patterns (yes, predictable) of disruption keep you ahead of your game no matter what sector you're in?

E-Commerce Fulfilment In The Era Of Digital Disruption: Unlocking One Of Retail's Best Kept Secrets

The imminent arrival of players like Amazon in Australia will change the retail landscape forever. But one thing is clear. Most leaders are not confident about how they can even begin to compete with increased customer expectations around flexible fulfilment. Same-day or next-day delivery, delivery time-slots, third party collection points, lockers, ship-from-supplier and ship-from-store are just some of the options customers already expect.

It's a not-to- be-missed session as Jonathan builds on the themes of his book Retail's Last Mile to equip Australian retailers with the arsenal they need to face one of the biggest operational and financial challenges of their time.

Are You Ready for Amazon? (workshop)

The aim of the workshop is to help you prepare for the biggest change in Australian retail for twenty years. It will help you to defend against the threats but also capitalise on the opportunities that will be created.

E-Commerce Fulfilment Boot Camp (workshop)

Fulfilment matters. History shows us that e-commerce retailers who fail to master fulfilment end up disappointing customers, frustrating team members and losing money for shareholders.

If you do get fulfilment right, you'll have the foundations of a successful e-commerce business. You’ll be confident you can move forward and handle the significant competitive challenges ahead.
