Professor Georgina Long AO, a 2024 Australian of the Year and leading Australian medical oncologist, is a sought-after media commentator, inspiring public speaker and passionate advocate of women working in STEM.

Through her illustrious career to date, Georgina has pushed boundaries and taken on challenges that others shy away from resulting in a significant shift in the fight against melanoma here in Australia and across the world.

Born in China, Cheng Lei came to Australia at age 10. Bilingual and bi-cultural at a native level, she switched from an accounting career with multinationals like Cadbury Schweppes and Exxonmobil in Melbourne to journalism, in which she worked for 20 years.She then took a 90% pay cut to start in television journalism in China, going from intern to presenter in three months. Within 18 months became a China Correspondent for CNBC, the world's most prominent business TV network, working in Shanghai and Singapore. Lei witnessed and reported on China’s economic leap for nine years, speaking to hundreds of Fortune 500 CEOs and major figures in politics, and economics.


Gina Chick is an international rewilding facilitator, helping people of all ages learn to be at home in the wild.

Her nature connection programmes weave ancestral hunter-gatherer technologies into modern life, mining strategies that kept Homo Sapiens alive for 350 000 years for lessons to enrich our lives now.

She recently spent 67 days surviving in the subzero Tasmanian wilderness in the middle of winter, completely solo and often barefoot.

Mark McGowan is a former politician, known for his tenure as the 30th Premier of Western Australia from 2017 to 2023.

With a distinguished background as a naval officer, Mark's journey began in regional New South Wales before finding his home in Western Australia. He studied at the prestigious University of Queensland, earning degrees in both arts and law.

Prior to his illustrious political career, Mark served as a legal officer in the Royal Australian Navy.
