Talking Points

Build a Better You: Overcoming Adversity and Building Resilience

Through discussion with my personal story involving working in male dominated industries my entire career, my experience with domestic violence, living with mental health issues on a daily basis etc., I outline how a ‘breakdown can be a break through’, by overcoming adversity and building resilience.

Make Your Mark: Navigate Your Way to Your Best Future

This discussion touches on inclusion and diversity and the need for it in today’s multi-faceted and global environment. It aims to provide young people and/or women, with advice and tools to utilise to be the biggest and best version of themselves they can be.

Skills of the Future

Education of any kind is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world. Education can be seen as a critical investment in ones future. This speech discusses the importance of education and particular skills needed for the future. It can also focus on the requirements to increase the uptake of STEM at school and post-school, particularly with women.

Inspirational Leadership

These presentations can be tailored to suit the specific needs of any organisation:
*Drawbridge vs Rapunzel Leaders
*Leadership styles
*Essential Qualities of an Effective Leader
*What does success look like?
*Successfully aligning and integrating safety within the business
*Emotional Intelligence and Leadership
*Developing 21st century critical thinkers
*What Does it Take to be a CEO?

Mentoring and Networking - the Importance of Communication and Social Skills

This presentation discusses the idea of mentoring and networking as an essential leadership skill. It outlines the need to manage and motivate people, and ensure we help others learn, grow and become more effective in their jobs. Mentoring and networking is a critical component to success and an essential element to support career development and progression.

Emerging Technology and Digital Disruption - the Importance of Innovation and Collaboration

This presentation discusses technological trends and their impact on society and industry. It aims to provide thought leadership on the need for continued innovation and collaboration between industry and organisations in order to survive the rapidly changing global climate. This presentation discusses ideas such as technological trends, emerging technology, digitalisation, workforce skills, volatility in certain sectors, long-term planning, business models etc.

Finding Purpose and Passion - What is your Why?

This presentation will touch, move and inspire - relevant to most groups, it is all about making powerful choices to live a life that you love. “If you love what you do every day, you never have to work another day in your life.” This is about putting meaning in your work, discovering your passion, learning about positivity - sticking with it and being persistent… and ultimately fulfilling on your true purpose

Knowing what drives you will give you the platform for a rich and wonderful experience of life. Through personal and professional life experiences, I demonstrate the power of one of my favourite mottos ‘If it is meant to be it is up to me.'

Get Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable

Women are amazing leaders, but are under-represented in today’s society, particularly in senior leadership roles. This presentation draws on my 17 years’ experience of working in male dominated industries to share advice and to help women become comfortable with being uncomfortable and to live and leader a life with courage to thrive:
• How women can find their own authentic leadership style
• The best ways to counter unconscious bias
• Conquering Imposter Syndrome
• Why we must stop apologising for our opinion, own our value and ask for it!
• Working mothers’ guilt and why it’s nearly always misplaced
• How to build the capacity and confidence to ‘lean in’ and lead well about his journey and how he stayed resilient throughout his life.
