Raised by a single mom, Joanna grew up to be a dreamer, go-getter, and a strong-willed and resilient woman, which she attributes to her late mother. She believes that her mother’s strength of character got her through the grieving process of losing her in 2021. With her mom as her inspiration, she turned this grief into motivation to go after her dreams, honoring her legacy by living and creating the life she will be proud of.

Her dream is to see the world and leave her own mark that could encourage each soul she meets to go after their dreams and make things happen.
Joanna’s passion, advocacy, and grit brought life to her Digital Marketing venture that caters to SMEs in the Philippines. Her firmly held beliefs and values also gave birth to her handmade jewelry brand Malaya MNL (which means free in English) that champions freedom and individuality.
