Kevin B. Lowe is Professor of Leadership in the Business School at the University of Sydney. Before Sydney, he was the Fletcher Building Employee Education Trust Chair in Leadership at the University of Auckland and the Burlington Industries Excellence Professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Before academia, Kevin worked for Baxter International and NextEra Energy in a variety of financial/strategic planning and forecasting roles.
A recognised leader in the field of leadership, Kevin has served as Editor of The Leadership Quarterly, the leading journal in the field of leadership. His research has garnered several awards, including twice winning the Best Paper of the Year Award and twice winning the Article of the Decade Award from The Leadership Quarterly and the Journal of International Business Studies.
His award-winning teaching has been recognised with the University of North Carolina Board of Governors Teaching Excellence Award and as a finalist for the US Case Professor of the Year. He currently teaches in the Executive Global MBA, the Full-time MBA, the Master of Commerce in Human Resources, and the Master of Surgery program at Sydney University. He is actively involved in the design and delivery of leadership development programs both as a consultant and through the Executive Education offerings of Sydney University.
Professor Lowe currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM), including as President of ANZAM, and the International Leadership Association. He also serves on the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, is an Executive Panellist of the McKinsey Quarterly, and is a Fellow of the Centre for Leadership Studies at Lancaster University (UK).
