"You have to want it more than you fear it”

Full of spectacular real life footage and stories of how Mark has conquered the worlds biggest waves, suffered near death wipe outs and Managed to win multiple big wave awards.

In order to successfully deliver ROI to his sponsors and stay alive at the same time. It is imperative for Mark to surround himself with and be able to lead a phenomenally talented group of individuals. Leveraging their skills
and talent and intern elevating his own performance and safety.

Through years of leading teams in highly volatile and stressful environments, Mark has come up with a formula to help select and manage the individuals he works with, and also assess his own performance. The Eagle Formula.

This Presentation will take a look at:

• Integrating emotional intelligence and confidence-¬-based strategies to build resilient and engaged teams
• What are the most important characteristics individuals need to be good team members.
• Leading others to overcome risk, change and uncertainty in volatile environments
• Learning how to easily adapt, react, and capture opportunities in high--risk situations

Mergers, buy-outs, downsizing: These are just a few of the ways in which companies can transform literally overnight. While these moves often help a company remain competitive, they also result in profound changes to organisational structure or other disruptions to the status quo.

Change can trigger our most basic survival instincts, and even when physical survival is not an issue, it can feel as if it is whenever things change. Our known existence, whether we liked it or not, is replaced by an unknown one, and we become fearful and disoriented.

Helping your employees deal with the Stress and anxiety that comes along with such changes is crucial.

Through vision of dramatic real life scenarios, this presentation will explore:

• Techniques to develop Resilience and Courage
• The benefits of a growth mindset
• The importance of commitment in implementing Change.

There is a huge difference between Incessant dwelling on negative possible outcomes and productively preparing to overcome worst case scenarios.

In the ocean Mark must always assume that conditions can-and will-unexpectedly change, violently and fast. Mark and his team must stay hypersensitive to change, continually re-assessing conditions and refocusing goals and strategies. With this agility Mark and his team can overcome all challenges and succeed on achieving ROI for sponsors.
In 2007 Mark learnt the hard way what happens when you underestimate the involved risk and don't prepare sufficiently. While in Tasmania, fifteen feet in front of a cliff in cold, shark infested waters, Mark hit a reef and
instantly blacked out. Terror engulfed every inch of his being. Neck braced and hospital-ridden, he didn’t know if he could ever surf again. At that moment, Mark made a decision never to be unprepared again.

This High Impact Presentation Will Help People:

• Leading others to overcome risk, change and uncertainty in volatile environments
• Learning how to easily adapt, react, and capture opportunities in high-risk situations
• Discover counter intuitive techniques to disrupt negative mental perceptions to naturally increase innovation and drive and focus.
• Avoid the “crash and burn” cycle by converging fear-based habits to positive lifestyle patterns
We engaged Mark to deliver the last session on the last day of 3 day APJ event, and he had the audience hooked from the beginning; in the end he had people queuing to meet him in person. Mark’s passion is contagious, he is inspiring, and at the same time he is incredibly humble. He conveys his message and story in a way that transcends industry, language and culture, and is relevant for all of us, both professionally and personally. I am privileged that we can continue to work with Mark, and in doing so we are giving others the chance to be inspired to push beyond their own boundaries. SAP

We loved having Mark Mathews take part in the launch of Intel’s 6th Generation Core Processor in Sydney. Mark has a great story, he is passionate and is an absolute natural on stage. He is a true professional and we look forward to working more with him in the future.

Mark is now a good friend of Google and we look forward to working with him in the future

Like no other. No one comes close. I have been speaking across the globe for over a decade and never have I been so moved or inspired by a speaker as I was with Mark Mathews. His ability to move an audience with his stories of resilience, courage and humour were unprecedented. The standing ovations that he received across the country as part of the Future of Leadership series on 2018 were testament to his speaking ability and his humility. Mark not only delivered on stage, like no other, but he is equally congruent off stage as well.

I asked Mark to come speak at our end of year strategy day about his personal experience on overcoming fear and obstacles. Mark was outstanding. His relaxed and professional demeanor, energy and positive presence kept everyone fully engaged. In a room full of investment bankers, this is not an easy task. Mark’s presentation was powerful and gave us great insight in the obstacles and fears he had overcome. Afterwards many colleagues mentioned that they felt that they could take on the world. We were very fortunate that Mark was able to find the time to speak at our strategy day.
