The transformational change I see when someone starts to believe in themselves again is what drives me to do what I do.
When Rob Caslick was 12, his grandmother introduced him to soup kitchens. Ever since, and throughout his career, he was always spent significant hours volunteering to ensure those who are most vulnerable to food insecurity can eat.
Then, in 2010, he founded his own organic soup kitchen in Sydney’s Kings Cross. Now, that soup kitchen is known as the social enterprise Two Good Co, which employs women who are homeless due to domestic violence.
Although Rob is a social entrepreneur who scaled a soup kitchen to a national provider of food to women’s shelters, what he is most proud of is being able to support and empower women who have survived domestic violence.
Current work
In 2010 he founded an organic soup kitchen in Sydney's Kings Cross and in 2016 he founded social enterprise Two Good Co initially as a way to scale the soup kitchen. Two Good Co is a business which provides food, support and training to survivors of domestic violence. What started as “wheel[ing] our barbecue about 300 metres” to grill up a shared feast for the area’s homeless and drug addicted is now a national provider of food and lifestyle products to women’s shelters across the country
Previous Experience
Rob spent six years as a marine engineering officer with the Royal Australian Navy. After this experience, which included active service in the Persian Gulf, he then commenced another six years as a mechanical engineer in the construction industry. He has since quit engineering to focus on Two Good Co.

Thank you for the inspirational presentation. My colleague and I attended and we both held back tears. We loved the idea of it all and enjoyed eating the food that had been prepared for us. It was great to hear the story behind what we were eating. I found it a very inspirational session both from a social enterprise and entrepreneur perspective but also to hear about how the organisation has empowered woman. Probably my favourite WELL event so far.
