Rod McGeoch is widely recognised as one of the most prominent solicitors in practice in Australia today. He came to public prominence through his involvement with winning bid for the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

Chairman of BGP Holdings Plc, a company which held the European real estate assets formally held in The GPT Group. The real estate portfolio included residential, industrial and commercial properties in primarily France, Germany and Spain. The Company has been sold and is now distributing the last of the proceeds of the portfolio. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Chubb Insurance Australia Limited
Consultant of the Group Board of Corporation America an international conglomerate with interests in Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador, Peru and Armenia. Their interests extend from Airports, Roads, infrastructure to bio diesel, cotton and vineyard businesses.
Director of Corporacion America International S.a.r.l, since September 2017. This is the largest airport owner in the world and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. He is also Director of Corporacion America Airports S.A. on 30 September 2017.
Director of Destination New South Wales, a statutory corporation formed by the Government of New South Wales in 2011 to be responsible for the promotion of tourism and major events in New South Wales. Prior to his appointment he was a Director of Events NSW Pty Limited which has now been subsumed into Destination New South Wales.
Director of the board of Ramsay Health Care Limited. Ramsay continues to hold leading positions in this market in the United Kingdom, France and the Nordic Countries.

The Arts: From 1997 until 2002 Mr McGeoch was Chairman of the Board of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) which is a world-renowned tertiary institution providing course for people entering the world of theatre and film. During his tenure the Board was successful in securing a major Federation grant which enabled NIDA to undertake the restoration of the Parade Theatre. In addition, Mr McGeoch was the inaugural Chairman of the Sony Foundation a charitable organisation formed under the auspices of the Sony Corporation. During his tenure of 8 years in excess of $7 million was raised for charitable causes in Australia. He was also a Member of the Council of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra for several years.
Trans-Tasman: For more than a decade Mr McGeoch has made a major contribution to the relationship between Australia and New Zealand. He has served on the Board of three of its public companies, namely Telecom Corporation Limited, SKYCITY Entertainment Group Limited and Gullivers Limited. As a result of those involvements Mr McGeoch was invited to take a leadership role in the Australia New Zealand Leadership Forum and was its Co-Chairman until 2016.
Tourism: Mr McGeoch has worked for governments and private enterprise across the spectrum of winning bids for major events, serving on the Board of a leading travel company, chairing a major airport corporation and chairing a public company with international entertainment interests
Telecommunications: Mr McGeoch served as a director on one of Australia’s leading telecommunications companies until it was taken over by New Zealand’s largest company, and he has now retired from the Board of that company, Telecom New Zealand Limited.
Sport: Mr McGeoch is one of the world’s leading figures in the field of event bidding as well as running a range of businesses in sport in a number of countries in the world including the UK, India and China.
International Finance: Mr McGeoch served for a number of years on the International Board of Morgan Stanley and its Board in the Asian region and did for many years serve on the Advisory Board of Aon one of the largest insurance and financial institutions in the world.
The Law: Mr McGeoch was a highly successful practicing attorney from 1970 to 1990 becoming the elected leader of his legal profession and then being honoured by the Australian Government with an Order of Australia for his contribution to law in the community.
