Breathwork Workshop: Finding a Sense of Calm in the Midst of Chaos

Duration: Ideally 45 minutes but customised to the event and client needs.

Our nervous systems are running on overdrive. Stress is somewhat become the new normal. We are doing more and more and it’s not slowing down. So it’s no wonder we get sick, feel tired, experience burnout and lack drive.

However, we have the ability to keep up with life, continue to work with a great level of output and avoid a majority of stress and anxiety that is associated with the modern day lifestyle.

Through learning about the nervous system and how the way that we breath has a direct influence on our mood, energy and stress levels, then we have the ability to live in the world and not feel crowded or overwhelmed.

Breathing and breathwork is an ancient practice. However is still so relevant if not more so today. Simple breathing patterns and techniques and understanding of the
breath is the fastest and easiest way to reduce stress, clear the mental fog and gain self regulation strategies.

In this workshop you will leave with a greater understanding of the nervous system and how it is impacted. How to use specific and simple breathing techniques, with an understanding of when and how to apply them, to manage, cope and avoid stress. Plus how to create habits that have a lasting effect on your overall health, energy and wellbeing.

Running towards it.

Lessons from the track, the crash and the comeback.
Ryan’s story of being an Australian representative in running to being hit by a motorcycle while out training and overcoming obstacles to find himself as a yoga teacher.

Learning how to follow curiosity, putting in place the work and then taking the shot.

Understanding how to pivot and fail fast to get to where you want to go.

Yoga Practice

Duration: 45 to 60 minutes.

The yoga practice offers an opportunity to improve both physical and mental wellness.
Through mellow movement, mobility and stretching, coupled with mindful breathing and meditation, this class is a great way to start the day, offers a break from the desk in the middle of the day or is a great way to end the working day with the team.

The fluid movements offered in yoga are a great way to relieve tension in the body and have been shown to help improve energy levels, circulation and focus.

The meditative quality of the poses and breathing also offers an opportunity to relax and declutter the mind. Helping reduce pressure and negative stress that can hinder the natural processes of the mind, such as decision making and concentration.

The practice is designed for anyone and offers a relaxed, non competitive environment where you can enjoy movement and relaxation without needing and experiencing.

Feedback
Ryan was so engaging, and was able to adapt his content to ensure that our needs were met. We had so much positive feedback after Ryan's session with our team - he was one of the best speakers we’ve had. I resonated with some of the key messages around taking the shot not worrying about what others may think or ‘what if’. Choice Energy
