Current Work
Sarah is the Chair of the not-for-profit the Catalyst Foundation, an inclusive, independent and charitable organisation seeking to improve the lives of all South Australians in the areas of Ageing, Disability, Lifestyle, Employment, Business and Learning. She also serves on the South Australian Government’s Education Standards Board, and is the Asia Pacific Governance Director for the global not-for-profit, The Entrepreneur's Organisation.
In 2019 her Podcast, Accountants on Purpose, was launched, showcasing inspiring stories of Accountants who are leaders in their field. On the Podcast they discuss what makes them tick, how they got to where they are, and what they do for their teams, their clients, and the world.
Previous Experience
Law: Sarah Bartholomeusz has worked as a lawyer in Australia for the past 15 years. She has worked for top tier law firms and inside two top ASX listed companies. In 2013 she founded You Legal, a new category of law firm, that aims to provide clients with easy and transparent access to legal talent in a more flexible, cost effective and efficient manner.
Education: In addition to her B.A. and LL.B from the University of Adelaide, Sarah has a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance from the Governance Institute of Australia Ltd, of which she is a Fellow. Sarah completed the AICD Company Directors Course in 2017, and is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Directors and a Member of the Law Society of South Australia.
Awards: Sarah’s insight into the way legal services are transforming was recognised in 2015 when she won the South Australian Telstra Business Women’s Award in the Start-Up category. She was also awarded the Lawyer’s Weekly, Women in Law Awards ‘Thought Leader of the Year Award’ for 2016.
