Jane Edmanson OAM is an Australian Gardening personality. Jane is a qualified teacher, who also has certificates in horticulture and landscape technology.

Jane is author and co-author of several gardening books. These include From The Ground Up, Ideas from Private Gardens, The Australian Garden, Jane Edmanson's Favourite Plants, Cheap and Easy Propagation, Jane Edmanson's Working Manual for Gardeners. She also contributes to the Gardening Australia magazine.
Previous experience
Presenter: Jane has recently retired as a popular presenter on gardening talkback in Melbourne. She was also the Gardening Australia presenter in Victoria.
Tours: Until April 1994, Jane was a partner in the Bell Street Garden Centre. She now takes garden tours to many places around the world, including Europe, China, New Zealand, the USA, Canada and also within Australia. Prior to nursery work, Jane was a secondary school teacher and then worked for twelve years at the Victorian Schools Nursery at which she became Deputy Principal.
Awards: Jane was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for educational and sustainable work in horticulture and the environment. She is in demand as a speaker at numerous horticulture and gardening events.
Personal: When not in the garden Jane enjoys bushwalking, music, art, walking and reading.

Jane Edmanson is one of Australia's most popular and accomplished horticulture experts. As honorary ambassador of Cystic Fibrosis Victoria, Jane has given generously of her time and expertise to raise awareness and funds for cystic fibrosis through the creation of the first ever Cystic Fibrosis Rose Collection.
Jane Edmanson has delighted the participants and patrons of the Melbourne International Flowers and Garden Show for many years. Her ability to appeal and capture the attention and imagination of people from all different age demographics has meant she is a 'must see' at the show each year. The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show has been a major event on Melbourne's calendar over the past 12 years. As a gardening media personality Jane has been involved with the show n many ways, from radio and TV telecast at the event, to live appearance on the main stage during the show. Whenever Jane is booked to speak to the public at this event, she is always able to enthuse and inspire her audience and gives very generously of her time and knowledge. The success of Jane's appearances at the show are evident by the large number of patrons who attend her presentations.
