Anita Jacoby is one of Australia’s most distinguished television producers having worked on the nation’s most credible and cutting-edge programs spanning all commercial networks, the ABC, SBS and Foxtel.
From The Gruen Transfer to Enough Rope with Andrew Denton to 60 Minutes and The Today Show, Elders and Sunday. Anita’s wealth of experience and knowledge of the media landscape lead her to oversee the Australian arm of ITV Studios, one of the largest commercial television production companies in the world.
From one of a small handful of female Managing Directors in Australian broadcasting, Anita transitioned into the regulatory and entrepreneurial sphere becoming one of the few women in media to do so.
Anita was invited by Ita Buttrose to chair the ABC Advisory Council, is co-chair of Women in Media Australia, a Board Member of Chief Executive Women (CEW), and Documentary Australia, an Associate Member of the Australian Communications & Media Authority and a Director of the UK Board of Trustees for the Duke of Edinburgh International Award Foundation.
Her work has received ten nominations and four Australian Film Institute/AACTA Awards, a Logie, an Order of Australia Media Award, a Human Rights Award and an Asia Broadcasting Union Award. In 2019 she was proudly appointed a Member of the Order of Australia.
In 2022 Anita published her first book, Secrets Beyond the Screen.
