A whip-smart, high-spirited stand up who has performed widely across Australia, it’s no wonder Brett’s 2025 solo show, Little Turd, secured him a nomination for Best Comedy at the Adelaide Fringe and Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.
His unpretentious look belies a vulnerability and willingness to explore complex issues on stage. His material runs the gamut of living with dyslexia to truck licenses, and he is the only comic who physically built some of venues he has performed in.
Brett’s audiences have been growing as much as his motorbike collection – exponentially and terrifyingly quickly. It is par the course for him to sell out entire seasons at comedy festivals and venues around the country.
Brett has starred as a guest on ABC TV’s Question Everything and Spicks and Specks, TVNZ’s 7 Days and the SBS / TVNZ2 show Patriot Brains. He has regularly appeared on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala and stolen scenes in the Jamie Doran thriller on Stan’s The Tourist. In 2025, Brett joined the cast of Network 10’s Taskmaster for season five of the series (yet to air) alongside fellow comedic heavyweights. Brett’s comedy special Bogan Genius was released in 2022 on Paramount +.
You can also hear him regularly on his podcast Work Hates with fellow comedian Bron Lewis.
Still, the mullet runs deep.
