Taking Audiences from Autopilot to Alive

Profile

Cass Miller turns the reality of mortality into a contagious enthusiasm for being alive.

In 2023, at 36 and with three young children, Cass was diagnosed with incurable metastatic Neuroendocrine Cancer. It forced her to confront a truth most people spend a lifetime avoiding: no one is guaranteed tomorrow. That truth changed everything, not because life suddenly became certain, but because she stopped treating it as though it would last forever.

Cass speaks from inside the story rather than from the safety of hindsight. She is still asking the questions, still discovering what the experience is revealing, still living it. Audiences feel that. They do not simply listen to her story. They find themselves somewhere in it.

Her signature Keynote, The Wake-Up Call, takes audiences from autopilot to alive. Over sixty minutes, roles and titles and to-do lists fall away and one question remains: am I truly living, or just getting through my life? Through storytelling, disarming vulnerability, sharp perspective shifts and practical tools people actually use, Cass interrupts the daily grind and changes how people show up for themselves, their work and their lives.

Cass is the first Patient Ambassador for Neuroendocrine Cancer Australia. She is equally at home in a room of thirty or a stage of three thousand, across industries, organisations and events of every kind. Because behind every polished exterior is a human trying to make life count.

Based in Noosa, available nationally and internationally.

The Wake-Up Call

People are moving through life, yet many no longer feel moved by it. Stuck in the doing, skimming the surface, losing touch with what makes life worth the effort. They do not need another motivational talk. They need a circuit breaker. The Wake-Up Call is a sixty minute experience that takes audiences from autopilot to alive, using Cass Miller's incurable cancer diagnosis and the radical rethinking of life that followed. This is not a Keynote about cancer. Cancer is the doorway. Aliveness is the conversation. Built around three wake-up calls, No One Else Is Coming, There Are No Full Stops and The Magic Matters, Cass interrupts the daily grind and turns perspective into something audiences can act on the moment they leave the room.

Key Takeaways:
- The Marble Jar: a practical framework for building self-trust through small promises kept and evidence that you can handle what comes next.
- FEAR reframed as Feeling Excited And Ready, giving audiences a new way to read fear and move towards what matters.
- The Get To shift: swapping obligation for gratitude in everyday language, and renewed appreciation for the ordinary moments that make up a life.
- A question to challenge limiting stories, What else is possible, for situations that feel fixed or final.
- The neuroscience of aliveness, drawing on Dr Lisa Miller's research on the awakened brain, and the role awe and wonder play in resilience, courage and hope.
- A prompt to act before certainty arrives: one conversation, decision or change each person has been putting off, and one meaningful step towards it.
- A guided, embodied integration that brings the wake-up call into the body rather than leaving it as an idea.

Format: 60 minutes. In person preferred, virtual available. Audiences from 30 to 3,000 plus. Optional 30 minute extensions available: Q&A, Fireside Chat, or a guided Somatic Practice.
