Clare Polkinghorne is Australia’s most capped footballer, male or female and is frequently included in the echelon of Australia’s best footballers in history.
She is a 2x Olympian and was a part of the first Australian side to win a continental trophy, the Asian Cup, in 2010, a feat that has yet to be repeated. She was part of the Matildas World Cup squad which finished 4th earlier this year.
Clare is described by her teammates as a true leader and is well known for her caring nature and excellent goal celebrations.
At an international level she currently plays for Swedish Team, Vittsjo GIK Hassleholm, in the Damallsvenskan (Swedish Women’s Premier League).
