Denise Scott is a highly accomplished writer, actor and stand-up comedian.
She has acted in some Australia’s most beloved TV series, including Please Like Me, Jack Irish, Winners and Losers and House Husbands. 2025 will see Denise back on TV in series 2 of Mother and Son alongside Matt Okine.
Denise is a comedic doyenne who has won a string of awards for her shows, most notably a Helpmann award and Melbourne Comedy Festival’s Director’s Choice Award for her solo show Regrets. She likewise won the Melbourne Comedy Festival award for Most Outstanding Show for her solo show Mother Bare.
In recent years, she has toured extensively as part of a comedy duo with Judith Lucy. Denise and Judith’s show Disappointments won the Melbourne Comedy Festival’s People’s Choice Award and toured nationally to sold-out theatres across Australia.
Denise is a favourite guest on many of Australia’s most reputable panel shows, including Spicks and Specks, The Project, Have You Been Paying Attention? and is the Narrator of the Nine Network hit Travel Guides, now entering its 9th Season.
