When was the last time you felt like you?
Kat John is an author, authenticity coach, and host of Authentic The Podcast, known for her honest, grounded approach to personal growth and real change.
Over the past decade, Kat has helped thousands of people move from feeling lost, and into a way of living that feels true and aligned. With an audience of over half a million and a podcast with more than a million downloads, her work continues to resonate because it meets people where they are.
Her values of authenticity, personal responsibility, kindness and impact have led her to work alongside brands including Lululemon, Movember, Tennis Australia, L’Oréal, W Hotels and Women’s Health.
Kat’s work is shaped by lived experience. After years of chronic pain that led to brain surgery at 23, she changed the trajectory of her life through a radical shift in her beliefs and actions. She has also navigated drug abuse, obsessive compulsive behaviours and childhood trauma. She doesn’t speak about change as a concept. She’s lived it.
Blending practical tools, deep self-enquiry and real-life application, Kat creates work that people can actually use. From her early career as a Registered Nurse to the work she leads today, her approach is grounded, direct and deeply human.
Her keynotes are known for their depth, honesty and energy. She’ll make people think, laugh, and at times, feel something they weren’t expecting. Not for effect, but because something real has landed.
People don’t just leave inspired. They leave with clarity, practical tools, and a clear next step they can trust.
Talking Points
Authentic living and leading
Most of us don’t lose ourselves by accident, we do it to survive. We learn early how to adapt, perform, and become who the world rewards. Over time, those strategies work, until they don’t. Life starts to feel tight, effortful, or quietly empty. Coming back to our authentic nature isn’t easy, as it asks us to face discomfort, drop old identities, and tell the truth about what no longer fits. But it’s also necessary. This talk explores why we disconnect from ourselves, why returning feels so challenging, and how living and leading from integrity restores clarity, trust, and a sense of being at home in your life.

True well-being
We live in a culture that praises effort and often ignores the cost. Pushing and enduring are often mistaken for strength, while rest, receptivity, and slowing down are seen as weaknesses. This session invites a more honest relationship with energy and understanding the relationship between when it’s time to act and when it’s time to pause. When we work with these natural rhythms instead of against them, vitality returns, creativity activates, and life becomes more sustainable.
True well-being
Navigating resistance
Resistance shows up whenever something inside us feels threatened by change. Resistance can look like over-working, control, defensiveness, or the need to be “good” at all costs. This talk explores the part of us that is resistant (ego), not as a problem to get rid of, but as a part of us trying to protect something old and how we can work with it. When we recognise resistance without fighting it, we regain choice and with that comes more freedom and ease.
