Kurtis Marschall is a two-time Olympian (2016 & 2021) and Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist (2018 & 2022) for the Men’s Pole Vault currently training out of the West Australian Institute of Sport.
Kurtis has had a rollercoaster of a career to date including major injuries, moving coaches, travelling and competing as an elite athlete and experiencing success as well as complete, brutal failure at the highest level.
Kurtis believes that to achieve success at the highest level it takes more than just the individual. It is about teamwork, collaboration, persistence and dedication. His journey through sport at an elite level has taught him about resilience, the importance of mental health and strength and the value of recovery. Taking a holistic approach to high performance has been a major focus throughout Kurtis’s career and he loves the opportunity to inspire audiences to maximise their potential and perform at their best sustainably using the tools he has learnt along the way.
Kurtis is currently studying a Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Sport) at the University of WA alongside his training. He also dabbles in photography, coffee and golf in his spare time.
