Lloyd Langford is a stand-up comedian, writer and actor from Port Talbot in Wales, who has cemented himself as an audience favourite in Australia. He has a wide and varied list of interests, including collecting obscure music on compact disc, constructing jazz caves and crazy golf.
Since first coming to our shores in 2015 as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Lloyd has toured extensively and regularly performs at all major Australian comedy festivals, consistently selling out venues around the country. He is a fan favourite and regular on hit TV shows including Have You Been Paying Attention?, Thank God You’re Here, The Hundred with Andy Lee, Spicks and Specks, Celebrity Gogglebox, and Would I Lie To You? Australia.
He’s also a frequent visitor to New Zealand, performing stand-up at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival and Christchurch Buskers Festival, and appearing on several TV programs such as 7 Days, Have You Been Paying Attention NZ, and Best Bits.
In 2021, Lloyd embarked on a national tour with his partner and fellow comedian, Anne Edmonds. Their show Business With Pleasure played to sold out theatres around the country, including the Sydney Opera House, Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre and Malthouse Outdoor Stage. The hit show was later recorded as a stand-up special for Paramount+.
Back in the UK, Lloyd is an accomplished and in-demand artist who has been performing and writing comedy for over two decades. He has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe since 2002, been invited to Just for Laughs Montreal, and taken the stage from Abu Dhabi to Zurich.
His UK television appearances include QI, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Ask Rhod Gilbert, Russell Howard’s Good News, and Celebrity Mastermind. He can be regularly heard as co-host of The Rhod Gilbert Show on BBC Radio Wales, and on comedy programmes such as BBC Radio 4’s The Unbelievable Truth and The News Quiz. In 2022, he was the co-creator and writer of The Island, a unique panel game show for UK TV network Dave.
Lloyd is also an award-winning writer, receiving a Radio Academy Award for his contributions to the BBC Radio Wales series Here Be Dragons. His writing credits include Live at The Apollo, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and The Apprentice: You’re Fired.
If you would like to know more, best to ask Lloyd directly, as his Wikipedia page is often vandalised with fake ‘facts’ that lead to awkward questions from lazy journalists.
