Lydia Lassila is one of Australia's most decorated winter athletes. A five-time Winter Olympian in Freestyle Aerial Skiing, she competed across five consecutive Games from Salt Lake City 2002 to PyeongChang 2018, becoming the first Australian woman to achieve that distinction.
At the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, Lydia delivered a heart-stopping finals performance to claim Olympic Gold. Four years later in Sochi, she made history as the first woman to land a quad-twisting triple somersault in competition, earning Olympic Bronze on one of the most technically demanding jumps ever performed by a female aerial skier. She holds three world records.
