Journey to mindfulness.

Profile

Rob Ginnivan is a Mindfulness coach, yoga leader and co-founder of Tidy Temple Yoga. As a member of the International Meditation Teachers Association and having studied with Deepak Chopra, His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Baron Baptiste, Baptiste Power Yoga Institute and one of Australia's leading meditation schools Inner Voyage Human Holistic Development, Rob leads with compassion and healing to guide CEOs, organisations and individuals to attain an ongoing mindful state of awareness, enhanced focus, inner calm and happiness.

Practising meditation for over 16 years whilst managing the demands and pressure of the corporate world, Rob communicates from experience with empathy, effectively helping thousands of people develop a meditation practice to become more mindful of being present.

He generously shares his time with people in Australia and around the world to teach the 'skill for life' - meditation, to re-discover a sense of meaning. With a consistent meditation practice, Rob also shares his personal experience of a transformation through neuroplasticity, by recently gaining a sense of smell that was missing in his life since childhood.

Current work

Rob is also the yoga and mindfulness coach for Soldier On, helping our wounded warriors, and works with reintegrating ex-military people injured physically and psychologically back into the community. He is also a fundraising sponsor for Lifeline Canberra and is working with Gary 'Angry' Anderson to raise money for suicide prevention.

Previous experience

Marathon: After a moment of clarity whilst meditating, Rob took running to lofty heights and created history on May 16, 2012 by becoming the first person to run a half marathon (21.1km) on a generator powered treadmill in mid-air whilst travelling above Canberra in a hot-air balloon to raise money for the Heart Foundation against cardio vascular disease. Rob's hot air balloon half marathon caught the attention of the world after his initial story appeared on ABC TV and found himself listed in the 2013 edition of Ripley's Believe It or Not.

Life's a Marathon

Within the marathon of life, many marathons occur. After a doctor told Rob he couldn't run again due to a severe condition with his lower back, he sought a second opinion, gained mental and physical strength to complete 18 marathons on six continents, an ultra marathon at sea and on May 16 ,2012 made history by completing the world's first mid air half marathon in a hot-air balloon. By thinking outside the box, believing that nothing is impossible, this ordinary person achieved extra ordinary feats.

Rob will inspire and teach you how to make a significant difference to yourself and your organisation by changing just a few habits within the environment you live.
