It has been a whirlwind couple of years for Rob Shehadie. With TV appearances spanning over 20 years, he is known best for starring in the hit TV comedy, Fat Pizza, playing Rocky and leaving Australians in stitches of laughter.
Along with his acting, stand-up comedy and MC work, he has also been an associate producer, stage and screen writer, and story and writing consultant. To add to this impressive list, Rob has also been a co-creator of Channel Nine’s hit comedy-drama and Logie-nominated show, Here Come The Habibs, as well as the hit comedy on Channel 10, Street Smart. He has been busy to say the least!
Rob has toured the country with several stage show comedies and made hundreds of appearances at schools, nightclubs and charity events. He has worked with the who’s who of the industry and has been booked for countless private and corporate functions doing stand-up comedy and MC work.
Before turning to acting and comedy, Rob was a full-time Rugby Union player, representing Australia and New South Wales at schoolboy, under 19’s and under 21’s levels. He also represented Lebanon in Rugby League. Injury forced Rob to end his promising football career prematurely. However, his love of sports has led him to team up with many sporting groups since then, including NRL Rugby League, Cricket Australia, A-League and NBL, entertaining as well as being an MC to the crowds that attend the games.
Charity work is very important to Rob, and he is an ambassador of many good causes, including the Save Our Sons charity. He was also part of a safety campaign for NSW Maritime that promoted jet ski safety via TV, radio and online commercials. Rob had a strong influence on this campaign, creating the slogan and script. It further went on to win a Government Award – “NSW Community Education Project of the Year.” Rob has also partnered with TAFE Western Sydney Institute and launched the “Educating Rob” and “Rob's Campaign” web series that spanned over 2 years.
Over the years, Rob starred in Celebrity Apprentice – Channel Nine, and has also made cameo appearances on 20-1 – Channel Nine, Bondi Rescue – Channel Ten, Renovation Rescue – Channel Nine, The Footy Show (NRL) – Channel Nine, Swift and Shift – SBS TV, Housos – SBS TV, Housos Vs Authority – feature film and Fat Pizza Vs Housos – feature film.
Rob Shehadie has many future projects in the pipeline and is sure to keep providing laughter to all Australians. He’s made us laugh in the past and will guarantee to make us laugh in the future.
