Mitigate risk and realise opportunity by getting above strategy.
Roger Dennis has worked around the world for over two decades advising leadership teams on how to think about large-scale global change. He has collaborated with some of the best foresight teams globally, including co-leading the Technology Futures programme for the Shell GameChanger team in The Hague.
Roger has been quoted in the FT, CNN, AFR and numerous other publications. His work has been published in Knowledge at Wharton and multiple times in Scientific American. From 2020 to 2023, he was a (non-resident) Senior Fellow at the Scowcroft Centre at the Atlantic Council in Washington.
He has a proven track record of helping leaders prepare for uncertainty. In 2009, he advised the leader of a $1.5b healthcare organisation on scenarios for a radically different operating environment. When a massive earthquake struck in 2011, the organisation was well prepared thanks to this work. In 2015, Roger led a team analysing the impact of a global pandemic on supply chains. In early 2020, he leveraged this analysis to help CEOs mitigate risk and seize opportunities ahead of competitors.
Roger has delivered keynotes worldwide, including a presentation at a Nobel Laureate Symposium alongside prominent global leaders. His sessions are highly interactive, and Q&A often runs out of time due to audience demand. At one event, a discussion with 500 leaders continued for two hours when the Deputy PM was delayed, creating an unforgettable experience.
Outside of work, Roger has competed nine times in the world-famous Coast to Coast adventure race, covering 243km across New Zealand by running, kayaking and biking.
