Sarah Abo is the host of the Today Show on Channel 9 and a reporter with 60 Minutes Australia. She brings extensive experience from a distinguished career in broadcast journalism. Since joining 60 Minutes in 2019, Sarah has interviewed global figures including former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed, climate activist Greta Thunberg, Apollo 11 astronaut Michael Collins, and Dr Anthony Fauci.
Sarah began her career at Network Ten in Adelaide before moving to Melbourne. In 2013, she joined SBS as a journalist and presenter for World News and Dateline, covering major international events such as the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, and the 2016 US Presidential Election. She also reported on the refugee crisis across Lebanon, Turkey, and Greece, and completed a fellowship at CNN headquarters in Atlanta in 2014.
In addition to her overseas assignments, Sarah has covered significant Australian news stories, particularly in her home state of Victoria. Her work reflects a commitment to delivering impactful journalism and engaging audiences with stories that shape global and local conversations.
