Profile

Sarah de Lancelle has a passion for design. As the youngest member of Channel Nine's Changing Rooms team, Sarah's flair and innovation has been warmly welcomed by viewers of the hit program. Sarah is a fully qualified interior designer with a wealth of experience in both television and design.

Current work

In addition to her commitments with 'Changing Rooms', Sarah de Lancelle continues to do freelance work in the interior design field - maintaining her own client base, and having recently expanded the NSW Home Decorator Service for Freedom.

Previous experience

TV: Sarah has recently appeared in several segments on 'Morning's with Kerri-Anne', 'Burke's Back Yard' and Channel Nine’s biggest renovation project “Renovation Rescue”. In addition to this Sarah is also writing a regular article in “New Woman” magazine offering tips and guidance to renovators, and contributes to 'Your Sydney Home Magazine'.

Education: Sarah studied Interior Architecture at the University of Technology, Sydney, graduating with first class honours and majoring in theatre and restaurant design. Whilst at University Sarah 'won' a coveted position at the firm of Phillip Cox Architects, which she held through her last two years of study, and for a further year after graduating. While there, Sarah worked on many prestigious projects in Sydney and Canberra.

TV: It was Sarah's passion for entertainment that led Sarah to complete a short course at the Screen Production Academy, before finding work in film and television. Sarah has worked behind the scenes in various capacities such as set dresser, set decorator, draftsperson and art dpartment co-ordinator on many TV programmes such as 'Breakers', 'All Saints', 'Grass Roots', 'The Morning Shift' and 'Roy & HG's Money', and for the feature film RISK. Prior to joining Changing Rooms, Sarah was Art Directing music video clips and Channel 7 station promotions - including the five coloured men and five coloured ad breakers that have successfully branded the Channel Seven logo.
