Taylah
Hasaballah

Fashionista and online street clothing entrepreneur.

Profile

Taylah Hasaballah is one of the leading lights amongst Brisbane's next generation of young entrepreneurs. She launched her online street clothing boutique with just $50 in February 2012 at the age of 17 and was awarded a competitive funding grant through the University of Queensland's iLab Germinate Program, a high-tech start-up incubator initiative that provides financial assistance and business mentorship to gifted students with an entrepreneurial eye.

The impact of Tiger Temple was immediate. A select range of designers – along with an in-house made brand – with ten pieces each immediately sold, forcing Hasaballah to ramp up production.

The key to the site's success has been its fully integrated use of social media, with 10,000 Facebook page views a week achieved through competitions, giveaways and interaction with users.

Taylah has been recognised by Anthill's as one of Australia's top entrepreneurs in the '30 under 30' category.

Current work

More recently Taylah launched a new startup called go.Women - a not-for-profit aimed at getting more girls interested in pursuing careers in tech through showing them how exciting and creative it can be!

As if that wasn't enough, as of July 2016 Taylah is working with Google as an Associated Product Manager.
