Olympian & Performance Coach To Fortune 500s

Even in uncertainty, we still have a choice.

Profile

Toby Jenkins is an Olympian, leadership coach and keynote speaker based in Brisbane, Australia.

His work is grounded in psychological flexibility - one of the most well-researched frameworks in behavioural science, with over a thousand randomised controlled trials demonstrating its effectiveness.

Toby applies this science to the challenges that matter most to leaders: performing under pressure, navigating change, building lasting resilience, and leading in ways that are both effective and sustainable.

As an Olympian, Toby assumed peak performance was about positive thinking, goal-setting and pushing through. The science told a different story. Psychological flexibility — the ability to stay present, open up to difficulty, and still do what matters — turned out to be the differentiator.

It's a toolkit that's trainable, evidence-based and immediately practical.

Toby has spoken for organisations including Google, Deloitte, Commbank, Rio Tinto, CBRE, BDO, Queensland University of Technology, Partners Group, Zuellig Pharma, West Moreton Health and many more across corporate conferences, leadership summits and private events in Australia and internationally.

His keynotes and workshops range from one hour to full-day immersions and are known for combining scientific depth with personal honesty and high energy. Audiences regularly describe his sessions as one of the most practical and human things they've experienced in a professional setting.

Elevating Mindset

Drawing on his Olympic experience and four decades of psychological science, this session introduces audiences to psychological flexibility — the most evidence-based mindset skills for performance, resilience and leadership.

Toby shares the research and practical tools that help leaders stay present, lead with clarity, and act on what matters even under pressure.

Available as a 1-hour keynote through to a full-day workshop.

The Power of Tiny Acts of Kindness

In this keynote, Toby shares a story from his Olympic journey of a time when the doubts were overwhelming, when there was no self belief left.

It was in this moment that a tiny act changed everything.

It’s an inspiring leadership, and fundamentally human, story of the importance of connection, kindness and contribution.

Feedback
I've had the fortune of being exposed to various leadership coaches. I found Toby's messaging to be incredibly powerful and differentiated in recognising the nature of the human struggle, how to accept it, and work with not against it. His teachings have stuck with me and I've found myself repeatedly returning to his guidance as I move forward as a leader of a team, and of a family. Google

The session was hugely beneficial for our executive team as we navigate uncertain times and a series of new challenges/obstacles related to the current high inflation/interest rate environment. Your ability to capture the imagination of the team in a short period of time was exceptional and it certainly left everyone asking, ‘when is the next session’. Of particular benefit was your raw approach to the concept of negative thoughts, which we all experience and the fact these thoughts are natural and we all have them countless times per day. We found your content relatable, easy to follow and engaging. I hope we can have many more of these workshops in the coming years.

CBRE Australia

Having Toby speak to my QLD Leadership Team on decision-making and mindset was an inspiring experience. His ability to break down complex ideas and challenges into relatable, actionable steps was empowering. Toby challenged the team to rethink our approach to decisions, focusing on mindfulness, clarity, and confidence. He was engaging with contagious enthusiasm, leaving my team equipped with practical tools to make better choices. Highly recommend!
